Day 1: Into the Primate Capital – Kibale National Park
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Entebbe or Kampala through the heart of Uganda’s countryside, heading westward to Kibale Forest National Park. Along the way, enjoy several stopovers to stretch, explore local culture, and take in the diverse landscapes.

By afternoon, you’ll arrive at your luxury lodge tucked at the edge of Kibale Forest—home to one of the highest concentrations of chimpanzees in Africa. As night falls, let the calls of the forest lull you to sleep.

Day 2: Chimp Tracking and Journey to Bwindi
After an early breakfast, set out for a guided chimpanzee tracking excursion deep in Kibale Forest. This 4-hour walk offers the chance to observe chimps up close, along with a variety of other primates, butterflies, and exotic birds.

After the trek, embark on a road transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This route is one of the most scenic in Uganda—winding through volcanic hills, crater lakes, and the ever-green rainforest. You’ll arrive at your lodge nestled on the edge of Bwindi in time to relax and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3: A Date with Giants – Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
This is the day you’ve been waiting for. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing. By 8:30 am, you’ll begin your guided trek through dense jungle terrain in search of one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements.

Once found, you’ll be allowed to spend one awe-inspiring hour with these gentle giants—a moment that stays with you forever.

Day 4: Return to Entebbe via the Equator
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala. Enjoy a hearty lunch in Mbarara town and make a memorable stop at the equator crossing. Here, you can take photos, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy a cup of Ugandan tea or coffee.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in time for your onward flight. Additional accommodation can be arranged if needed.
