Day 1: Welcome to Rwanda – Kigali City Exploration
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by our representative for a VIP Meet & Greet. Enjoy fast-tracked assistance through immigration, visa processing, and luggage collection.

Your private guide will then escort you to your luxury hotel in Kigali. Early check-in can be arranged depending on availability.

Later, explore the highlights of Kigali with your guide at your own pace. Visit local markets bursting with color and energy, step into the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a sobering look at Rwanda’s past, and experience the country’s cultural renaissance at the Rwandan Art Gallery.

Cap off your afternoon with a coffee masterclass at Question Coffee, followed by lunch at the iconic Hotel des Mille Collines, famously known from the film Hotel Rwanda.

Day 2: Into the Land of the Gorillas – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, set off on a scenic drive to Musanze, gateway to Volcanoes National Park. The journey winds through Rwanda’s rolling green hills, offering glimpses of banana groves, coffee plantations, and the daily life of rural communities.

On arrival in Musanze, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, where you’ll learn about the ongoing work to protect gorillas and the legacy of Dian Fossey herself.

Check in at your lodge, where a warm lunch awaits. Spend your afternoon at leisure, soaking in views of the volcanic peaks or relaxing in your room.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking – The Ultimate Encounter
Rise early for breakfast before heading to the park headquarters. After a detailed briefing, set off into the forest with expert trackers in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek may take a few hours depending on their location, but the reward is unforgettable—spending a full hour with these majestic creatures in their natural home.

A complimentary porter will accompany you, helping carry your gear and assisting on steep or slippery trails. This support not only eases your trek but also contributes to the local economy.

Return to your lodge for a hot lunch and well-deserved rest. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure, with dinner served as the sun sets behind the Virunga Mountains.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trek – Return to Kigali & Departure
Begin your final day with an early breakfast, then transfer once again to the park headquarters for your Golden Monkey trekking experience. These lively and playful primates inhabit the bamboo forests at the base of the volcanoes, and your guided walk through their territory offers excellent photo opportunities and sightings of other forest wildlife and bird species.

Return to the lodge for lunch before departing on your drive back to Kigali. Upon arrival, proceed to Kigali International Airport to connect with your outbound flight.
