Day 1: Touchdown in Kigali & Immersive City Tour
Your safari begins the moment you arrive at Kigali International Airport. A warm Nature Allure Safaris welcome awaits as your private guide escorts you to your luxurious base for the night. After freshening up, dive into Kigali’s vibrant character with a guided half-day city tour.

You’ll visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial — a powerful tribute to Rwanda’s resilience — followed by a stroll through local craft markets, where colorful fabrics and handmade treasures offer a glimpse of Rwandan creativity. As the sun sets, you’ll unwind over a gourmet dinner and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Journey to Nyungwe Forest & Chimpanzee Trekking
After breakfast, your private guide takes you on a scenic drive southwest to Nyungwe National Park. The route itself is a moving panorama of Rwanda’s legendary “land of a thousand hills,” where green tea plantations and rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see.

Upon arrival, you’ll check in at the exclusive One&Only Nyungwe House, set amidst a working tea estate and offering luxurious forest-facing suites. In the afternoon, the rainforest beckons. Venture into the Cyamudongo or Uwinka section with expert trackers for an exhilarating chimpanzee trek — a rare chance to observe these agile primates in their natural habitat.

Wake up to birdsong and forest mists, then gear up for one of Africa’s most iconic rainforest experiences — the Nyungwe canopy walk. Suspended high above the treetops, this walkway offers sweeping views and close encounters with monkeys, butterflies, and rare birds.

After breakfast, your safari continues as you drive north toward Volcanoes National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorilla. By late afternoon, you’ll check in at the exquisite Bisate Lodge, nestled in the shadow of the Virunga Volcanoes. Spend the rest of the day unwinding, perhaps with a spa treatment, before settling in for another fine dining experience.

The trek varies in length, but every step is worth it once you encounter a gorilla family up close — a soulful, humbling, and life-affirming experience.

Later in the afternoon, dive into Rwanda’s living heritage with a visit to the Iby'iwacu Cultural Village. Here, you’ll gain insight into traditional Rwandan life through music, dance, and hands-on cultural activities.
